These were the first coins released by Casascius. They were released in September 2011. The first 8 characters of the public keys were printed on the holograms. The holograms contain an error, they misspell the name as "CASACIUS".

Series 2

These coins were released November 2011. The coins themselves are the same as Series 1, the difference is the holograms and how the public keys are displayed. These coins do not have the same spelling error as Series 1.
